A Safavid Copper Lidded Bowl Signed by Sahaba Baba Hasan ibn Sheikh, 17th Century.
A Safavid copper lidded bowl, Persia, 17th century. The rounded body and domed cover are richly decorated with intricate arabesque scrolls and floral designs, interspersed with figural medallions depicting mounted horsemen. Broad bands of elegant naskh inscriptions encircle both the lid and body, while the recessed top with flared finial bears the maker’s signature, Sahaba Baba Hasan ibn Sheikh.
