A Bronze Axe Head with Panther-and-Ram Motif, in the Style of the 1st Millennium BC.
A sculptural bronze axe head featuring a striking zoomorphic composition. One side shows a boldly carved panther with an open jaw, its head emerging prominently along the top edge of the axe. Behind it, forming the socket, is a stylised human-like visage with elongated almond eyes, a ridged headdress band, and a squared, mask-like face. Adjacent to the panther, the opposing section of the shaft opening is carved as the head of a ram, depicted in profile with curved contours and a recessed muzzle.
