A Collection of Indus Valley Terracotta Figures, Harappan Period, c. 2200 BC.
A group of Harappan terracotta figures in varying forms, each with the characteristic elongated bodies and rounded heads of Indus Valley anthropomorphic sculpture. Several display pierced eyes, stylised facial features, and simple limb modelling, while others show traces of original surface tones ranging from buff to reddish clay.
Provenance: Property from the estate of a distinguished private collector (deceased); assembled between the 1970s and 2024.
