A Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Scholar’s Water Pot with Landscape and Figural Scenes.
A domed Chinese blue and white porcelain water pot, finely painted in cobalt blue with continuous landscape scenes. The decoration includes seated scholars in conversation beneath trees, attendants in flowing robes, and large leafy banana palms set among rocky outcrops and drifting clouds. The shoulder is adorned with a border of scattered blue motifs surrounding the open mouth. The underside bears a double-circle mark in underglaze blue.
