A Chinese Famille Verte ‘Striding Dragon’ Dish, Guangxu Mark.
A vibrant Chinese famille verte porcelain dish featuring a bold central depiction of a striding five-clawed dragon emerging from turbulent, swirling green waves. The dragon is rendered in rich tones of yellow, red, and green, with fine enamel detailing throughout. The cavetto is framed by an elegant border of scrolling lotus, peony, and foliage motifs in polychrome enamels, all enclosed within an iron-brown rim line. The reverse displays additional auspicious cloud motifs in soft enamel tones. The base bears a six-character Guangxu mark in underglaze blue (大清光緒年製 – “Made in the Guangxu period of the Great Qing”).
