A Chinese White Metal Cylindrical Lidded Box with Coin-Motif Covers.
A cylindrical white-metal lidded box featuring engraved decoration, the body adorned with a continuous Greek-key band above a finely incised depiction of a prawn or shrimp in profile. Both ends of the container are formed from cast coin-motif disks: one side bearing the portrait and characters associated with early Republic period coinage, the other depicting a dragon within a beaded circular border.
