A Mughal High-Karat Gold, Diamond, Ruby & Enamel Necklace with Peacock and Elephant Motifs, 18th–19th Century.
A Mughal necklace featuring four strands of lustrous white pearls supporting an ornate high-karat gold pendant richly decorated with traditional peacock and elephant motifs. The pendant is embellished with vibrant rubies, old-cut diamonds, and finely executed enamel work in classic Mughal colours. The front displays scrolling foliate forms emerging from stylised peacocks and elephants, centred with ruby cabochons framed by small diamond accents. A suspended ruby drop hangs beneath the arch-shaped pendant.
