An Indian Tantric Yogic Diagram of the Human Body, 19th Century.
A detailed Indian tantric yogic diagram depicting a seated male figure shown frontally in a squatting posture, rendered in fine linear inkwork across aged beige paper. The body is articulated through an intricate network of concentric circles, radiating lines, and symmetrical channels that map the internal pathways. The head is simply modelled with outlined features, while the torso and limbs are structured through rhythmic parallel lines, highlighting joints and energetic centres. A circular red motif appears at the centre of the chest, with further circular nodes marked at the abdomen, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles.
