An Islamic Silver-Mounted Carnelian Calligraphic Plaque.
A finely engraved Islamic carnelian plaque of oval form, mounted within an ornate silver frame featuring pierced suspension loops at each side. The warm orange-brown stone is densely inscribed on the front with elegant flowing Arabic calligraphy arranged in concentric oval bands, the script rendered in crisp, deeply carved strokes. The reverse of the silver mount is likewise inscribed with further calligraphy, framed by a scalloped border.

Provenance: Property from the estate of a distinguished private collector (deceased); assembled between the 1970s and 2024.
