A Silver Sassanian Dirham of Bahram II with Queen and Prince, 3rd Century AD.
A finely struck silver dirham from the reign of Bahram II (AD 274–293), featuring the distinctive triple portrait unique to his coinage. The obverse displays the crowned bust of Bahram II facing right, accompanied by the smaller portraits of his queen and prince, a hallmark of this dynasty’s dynastic iconography. The reverse depicts the traditional Zoroastrian fire altar, flanked by two attendants, with traces of the surrounding Pahlavi inscriptions still visible.
