An Ottoman Kiswah Panel With Circular Thuluth Inscription, 20th Century.
An Ottoman Kiswah textile panel featuring a bold circular composition of embroidered gold thuluth script set against a deep black ground. The calligraphy radiates outward in sweeping, interlaced strokes forming a continuous ring of Qur’anic text. At the centre sits a roundel filled with dense scrolling arabesque motifs in gold and cream tones, enclosed by a black border. The surrounding inscription is framed within a large circular outline, giving the piece a balanced radial structure.
