Buyer's Premium:

A Warring States Period Millet-Patterned Jade Huang, circa 475–221 BCE.

Finely carved in a characteristic arc form, this jade huang is distinguished by its uniform millet-grain pattern across both surfaces. The surface is adorned with tightly coiled raised spirals, known as “millet” motifs, symbolic of fertility and abundance in ancient China. The two perforations at the centre suggest it once formed part of a larger pectoral or ceremonial necklace.
