A Chinese Black-Ground Famille Noire Vase with Butterflies and Floral Motifs.
A tall Chinese porcelain vase with a slender neck and broad shoulders, richly enameled in the famille noire palette. The body is decorated with butterflies fluttering among blossoms, foliage, and fruits, all finely detailed in shades of green, yellow, and pale blue against a deep black ground. The rim and base with a white glaze, the underside bearing a blue six-character seal mark within a double square, possibly indicating the period or origin of the piece.
