A Chinese Celadon Jade Carving of a Recumbent Animal on a Leaf.
Carved from celadon jade, this piece depicts a recumbent animal resting peacefully upon a large leaf-shaped base. The animal is shown with a curled tail and head turned to one side, grasping a stem in its mouth. The underside of the carving reveals the detailed veins of the leaf.
