A Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Dragon Dish, Kangxi Mark.
A finely painted Chinese blue and white porcelain dish, the interior decorated with two five-clawed dragons in pursuit of the flaming pearl amidst fire scrolls. The cavetto is encircled by a band of crashing waves and stylised bats in flight, symbolising prosperity and longevity. The underside is adorned with further auspicious cloud motifs, centring a six-character Kangxi reign mark enclosed within double circles, possibly indicating the period or origin of the piece.
