A Chinese Yellow-Ground Porcelain Plate with Iron-Red and Pink Enamel Decoration, Guangxu Mark.
A finely enamelled porcelain plate, the yellow ground decorated with blossoming peonies, pomegranates, and leafy branches, interspersed with perched birds and butterflies in iron-red and pink enamels. The detailed motifs stand out vividly against the bright crackled yellow glaze, extending to the underside with additional floral sprays. The recessed base bears a six-character Guangxu mark in underglaze blue, The base bears a six-character Kangxi mark enclosed within double circles, possibly indicating the period or origin of the piece.
