An Indian Bronze Censer with Serpentine Handle and Perforated Lid, 19th Century.
Its domed lid is delicately pierced with teardrop and circular openings, culminating in a pointed knop finial. The body rests on a flaring pedestal with petal-like cutouts. A curved handle extends to the rear, formed in the shape of a stylised serpentine or fish-like creature, its tail resting flat as support.
