“Untitled” – MANJIT BAWA (1941–2008).
A vibrant watercolour on paper by Manjit Bawa, portraying Krishna playing the flute amidst a group of stylised cows. Set against a luminous yellow background, the composition radiates simplicity and spiritual harmony, hallmarks of Bawa’s distinct visual language rooted in Indian mythology. His use of bold flat colour fields and fluid forms imbues the work with a lyrical, meditative quality.
Approximately 49 x 40.5cm (incl. frame)
Provenance: Private collection from a distinguished W London lady
