A Silver Tetradrachm of the Ilitnite King Kamnaskires III and Queen Anzaze, Circa 100 B.C.
A silver tetradrachm featuring the jugate busts of King Kamnaskires III and Queen Anzaze facing right, the king wearing a diadem and the queen adorned with a royal headdress. The reverse depicts Zeus seated left on a throne, holding a sceptre and Nike, with surrounding Greek inscriptions denoting the royal titles. This coin, struck circa 100 B.C. in Elymais (southwestern Iran), represents the rare joint reign of Kamnaskires III and Queen Anzaze.
