An Indo-Bactrian Silver Tetradrachm of Azes II, Circa 80 B.C.
A finely preserved Indo-Bactrian silver tetradrachm struck under King Azes II around 80 B.C. The obverse presents the king on horseback facing right, armed with a spear, encircled by a Greek legend. The reverse depicts a standing deity, possibly Zeus, holding a scepter and wreath, with a Kharosthi inscription around the edge.
