A finely painted blue and white porcelain stand made for the Islamic export market. The cylindrical body flares outwards at both ends and is decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with elegant Arabic-style script panels interspersed with scrolling foliage. Alternating bands of floral and geometric motifs frame the body, with stylised leaf patterns circling the top and base rims.
