A Chinese Gilt Bronze Belt Buckle with Turquoise and Agate Inlay, 19th Century.
A finely cast Chinese gilt bronze belt buckle in the form of a recumbent qilin, adorned with inset turquoise and red agate stones along the body and limbs. The mythical beast is shown in dynamic pose with an expressive mane and coiled tail, the underside fitted with a curved hook and knop for fastening.
