A Chinese Porcelain Seated Budai Figure with Polychrome Robe.
A Chinese porcelain figure of Budai, seated in a relaxed pose with one knee raised, his robe open to reveal a prominent belly. The figure is brightly enamelled in the famille rose palette, with a vividly decorated robe featuring geometric and floral motifs in turquoise, iron red, yellow, and blue. The back of the robe is covered in dense floral decoration against a deep red ground.
