A Chinese Jade Boy Holding Lotus and Bat, with a Pierced Butterfly Plaque and Dangling Leaf Pendants.
A pale celadon jade carving of a standing boy holding a large lotus leaf and bat over his shoulder, symbolising blessings and prosperity. The figure stands in a relaxed pose with finely incised facial features and garments. Accompanied by a separately strung pale jade openwork butterfly plaque, intricately pierced with auspicious swastika motifs and suspended with two leaf-shaped pendants on metal chains.
