A Sufi Dervish Felt Cap with Embroidered Inscriptions, 19th–20th Century.
A wool felt dervish hat, Central Asia or Anatolia, 19th–20th century, crafted in natural camel hair tone and extensively embroidered in black thread with religious and devotional inscriptions in Persian and Arabic. Phrases such as "Every crown is that of a Qalandar" and references to divine unity are contained within stylised cloud-band cartouches encircling the dome.
