A bulbous Chinese porcelain hookah base, finely painted in underglaze cobalt blue with cartouches of scholarly and auspicious objects enclosed in bracket-shaped reserves. These panels are set against a vibrant crackle-patterned blue ground adorned with clusters of white blossoms. The waisted neck features floral motifs and a collar of chevron bands.
