A Sassanian Silver Beaker with Hunting Scene, 3rd Century A.D. or Later.

A silver beaker from the Sassanian period, its exterior finely repoussé-decorated with a dynamic hunting scene in mountainous terrain. The central figures include a pair of mounted male and female hunters in detailed attire, each holding bows and engaged in pursuit of long-horned mountain goats. The scene is set in high relief with emphasis on motion and stylized musculature.
