1 viewNot sold
A Collection of Antique West African Bronze Amulets.
A group of three bronze amulets, likely originating from West Africa, with stylistic elements reminiscent of the bronze casting traditions of the Benin or Ife cultures of Nigeria. These pieces exhibit bold forms and abstracted symbolism, potentially representing celestial, zoomorphic, and anthropomorphic motifs. The artefacts may have served ritual, protective, or decorative purposes, and their unique designs suggest use as personal ornaments or spiritual talismans.
Provenance: Private collection from a distinguished NW London gentleman.
