Mid-Century Oil Painting of St. Paul’s by Gordon Bennett (1921–2006).
A compelling mid-20th century oil on board by British artist Gordon Bennett (1921–2006), depicting a textured and atmospheric view of St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. Executed in an expressive, semi-abstract style, the work captures the iconic dome and bridge with broad, gestural brushstrokes and a muted palette of greys, browns, and ochres. The painting evokes a moody London cityscape, blending architectural structure with impressionistic abstraction. Signed ‘Gordon Bennett’ lower right.
