A Mughal High-Karat Gold Serpich (Taj) Head Ornament, 18th–19th Century.
An opulent Mughal head ornament known as a serpich or tajy, crafted from high-carat gold and set with a rich arrangement of polished emeralds and rubies. The piece features a prominent central cabochon emerald, encircled by alternating rows of rubies and emeralds in a floral burst motif. The reverse is equally ornate, boasting vibrant meenakari enamel work in deep blue, red, and green hues with fine foliate designs.
