An Alabaster Buddhist Architectural Finial from a Stupa, Possibly Central Asian.
A finely carved alabaster architectural element, likely the upper portion of a miniature Buddhist stupa or votive shrine. The dome-shaped top is crowned by a stylised finial and displays a checkered relief pattern reminiscent of masonry, while the midsection features a tier of vertical slits over a delicately pierced lattice interior. The lower section is bordered with basketweave-like carving.
