This pair of leaves, originating from a Mamluk Qur’an, offers a glimpse into the rich history of Islamic manuscripts. Each page features 14 lines of meticulously written Arabic script, reflecting the skilled craftsmanship of the scribes of the era. The use of blue ink for the Surah/verse subtitles adds an artistic touch to these pages.

These leaves likely hail from either Egypt or Syria, regions renowned for their contributions to Islamic calligraphy and manuscript production during the 13th to 14th centuries. With dimensions of 50×31.5cm, they provide a substantial representation of this historical period, making them valuable artefacts for collectors and scholars of Islamic art and culture.
