A Chinese Gold Gilt-Bronze Camel Paperweight, 19th Century.
Cast in bronze and finished with a layer of gold gilt, this Chinese paperweight is modelled as a recumbent camel, curled gracefully upon an oval base. The camel has an alert expression, prominent snout, and delicately incised mane.
