A Koftgari Indian Iron Jewellery Box with Gold and Silver Inlay, 19th Century.
This finely crafted Indian jewellery box is made of iron and decorated using the koftgari technique. The tiered rectangular lid is adorned with alternating triangular motifs filled with foliate scrolls in gold and silver, bordered by ornate bands. The box stands on raised bracket feet and features a working lock and a key.
