A Persian Seljuk Bronze Vase, Khurasan, 12th–13th Century.
A finely cast Persian bronze vase from the Seljuk period, Khurasan region, dating to the 12th–13th century. The baluster form rises from a flaring foot to a broad trumpet mouth, the neck encircled by incised bands and a raised ridge at the shoulder. A band of stylised scrollwork encircles the midsection, while the flared rim features a continuous engraved Arabic inscription in elegant Kufic script.
