A pair of tall baluster-shaped Kutani porcelain vases, richly decorated in iron red, gilt, and black enamels on a white ground. Each vase depicts a dense gathering of immortal figures, likely the Luohan (Arhat), holding scrolls with calligraphy and clothed in finely detailed robes. The cylindrical necks are adorned with floral and bird panels surrounded by scrolling brocade patterns.
