A Sassanian Bronze Ritual Vessel with Frieze of Mythical Beasts, Possibly 3rd–6th Century CE.

A finely cast bronze vessel from the Sassanian Empire, dated to the 3rd–6th century CE, featuring a tall flared neck with vertical ridges above a rounded shoulder. The shoulder is encircled by a high-relief frieze depicting a procession of mythical creatures and winged beasts, including griffins, lions, and mounted warriors. The figures are separated by vertical bands, each rendered with distinctive detailing. The body of the vessel has a softly tapering form terminating in a ringed base.
