A Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Bowl with Arabic and Pseudo-Arabic Inscriptions, Made for the Ottoman Market.
A finely painted blue and white porcelain bowl featuring a wide flaring rim and recessed foot, adorned in cobalt blue underglaze. The exterior bears stylised Arabic and pseudo-Arabic script encircling the body, while the interior displays a central medallion surrounded by five roundels of similar script, interspersed with cloud and lotus scroll motifs. A wave border encircles the foot and rim. The base bears a six-character Da Ming Zhengde Nian Zhi mark, possibly indicating the period or origin of the piece.
