A Persian qalamdan (pen case) crafted from paper mâché, richly adorned with miniature scenes of mounted warriors in combat and procession. The box features finely detailed hand-painted imagery on all sides: the front, back, and sides are populated by horsemen in varied dynamic poses—some bearing swords, others mid-gallop, and one dramatic slaying at the centre with radiant lines suggesting divine intervention.
