A Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Gaiwan-Form Teapot.
Of compressed globular form with a slightly flaring spout and a raised hexagonal lid, this Chinese porcelain teapot is finely painted in underglaze cobalt blue. The body is adorned with a continuous landscape scene featuring rocks, plum blossoms, and trees rendered in delicate washes and fine lines. The collar is decorated with upright petal lappets, while the cover bears leafy floral motifs above a geometric border.
