A Rare Chinese Bronze Incense Burner with Arabic Script, Made for the Islamic Market.
A cylindrical bronze incense burner raised on three short feet, its surface richly adorned with incised Arabic script in high relief, reading the Shahada: “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His Messenger.” The calligraphy is framed within recessed panels and evenly spaced around the body, bordered by a smooth rim and base. The underside features a six-character mark, possibly indicating the period or origin of the piece.
