A Chinese Gilt Bronze Dragon Form Stand, Qing Dynasty, 19-20th Century.
Cast in gilt bronze, this Chinese stand features two intricately modelled dragons, each poised in a dynamic striding stance with coiling bodies forming a rectangular support. The heads are finely detailed, with bulging eyes, curled whiskers, and open jaws bearing teeth, while the tails meet in the middle beneath a row of raised spines. The dragons’ clawed feet are splayed in all directions, elevating the stand.
L: Approximately 23cm
