A Pichwai Textile Depicting Shrinathji with Cows and Peacocks, 19-20th Century.
This Pichwai devotional textile features the iconic image of Shrinathji—an incarnation of Lord Krishna—standing in the centre adorned in a yellow dhoti and elaborate jewellery, raising his left arm in the characteristic pose of lifting Mount Govardhan. He is surrounded by sacred cows and peacocks, set against a deep rose-pink background decorated with star-like floral motifs. The border is painted with stylised lotuses and ornate floral patterns in green and blue, while the lower section depicts a lotus-filled pond, symbolising purity and divine presence.
