An Islamic Ceramic Bowl from Samarkand, Uzbekistan, 11th–13th Century.
A polychrome Islamic ceramic bowl from Samarkand, Uzbekistan, dating to the 11th–13th century. The interior is painted in a rich red slip and adorned with yellow and black scroll motifs forming organic, abstract floral patterns. At the centre sits a geometric motif framed by a black triangle. The bowl rests on a small foot with a slightly convex base.
