A Syrian or Egyptian Brass Tray with Silver Inlay, 19th Century.
A rectangular brass tray finely inlaid with silver. The central medallion is framed by calligraphic cartouches and interlaced roundels, enclosed within an arabesque and braidwork border. The inscriptions, rendered in thuluth script, include a benedictory phrase, possibly reading: "Blessing is in the protection of women".
