A Chinese Libation Cup with Archaistic Dragon Motifs and Qianlong Mark.
A finely carved Chinese libation cup, the body of flaring form rising from a square pedestal foot. The exterior is adorned with archaistic scrollwork and stylised dragon motifs in high relief, the beasts forming naturalistic handles that extend over the rim. The rim is incised with a continuous geometric border, while the base bears a neatly impressed Qianlong mark within a square cartouche, possibly indicating the period or origin of the piece.
