A Khorassan Style Brass and Silver-Inlaid Candlestick.
An octagonal brass candlestick in the Khorassan style, finely decorated with silver inlay. The wide, faceted base is divided into arched panels containing seated human figures in various poses, surrounded by ornamental scrolls and framed with bands of Arabic inscriptions. The tall cylindrical shaft is enriched with dense scrolling motifs, rising to a flared socket designed to hold a candle.
