An Indian Jain Tantric Painting of a Multi-Armed Protective Deity, 18th Century or Later.
A powerful Jain Tantric painting depicting a multi-armed protective deity rendered in deep green tones, standing against a vibrant red background filled with esoteric Jain mantra symbols, star-like diagrams, and ritual marks. The deity is crowned with multiple heads and adorned with beaded jewellery and patterned garments, conveying a strong protective presence associated with Jain esoteric traditions. Above the deity floats a large turquoise face with wide eyes and bared teeth, a characteristic protective visage found in Jain Tantric iconography. Two white animal figures occupy the lower corners, framing the composition with additional symbolic guardianship.
