A Rare Gilded Miniature Qur’an Scroll on Vellum.
This miniature Qur’an scroll is rendered on a single piece of vellum shaped in natural animal hide form, featuring fine lines of meticulously hand-inscribed Arabic calligraphy radiating outward in a circular sunburst layout. The calligraphy—executed in micro-script—unfolds from a central medallion bearing the Basmala and is divided into golden radial compartments that converge on a wide, gilded band extending downward.
