A Pair of Fatimid Glazed Ceramic Chess Pieces, Possibly 10th–12th Century.
A pair of domed ceramic gaming pieces, each decorated with an incised eight-petalled radial floral motif in relief on the front face. The body of each piece is cloaked in a thick, lustrous glaze—one in deep cobalt blue, the other in a darker tone.
